Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello, born April 18, 1967 in the United States is an actor as well as a writer, producer, and director. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello was on TV as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998), along with other starring parts such as Michelle McBride (2016 season), and Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was raised in Norristown to Kathy Bello and Joe Bello. In the field of political science Bello studied at Villanova University. After graduation, Bello honed her acting skills in a number of New York theater productions. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son named Jackson. In November 2013 Bello wrote about her former partner Clare Munn's relationship with a same-sex partner. She released a book called Whatever...Love Is Love: Questioning the Labels We Give Ourselves (Dey Street Books on April 28, 2015)
