Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara has been the recipient of many prizes including an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara was first recognized for her acting in the year 1974, when she was a member of The Second City in Toronto. She was part of the main ensemble cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. The following year, O'Hara and Candy began working on the sketch comedy program Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned the attention of critics for both her performance as a comedic actress as well as a writer, securing an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory board in 2022.
